Telling our stories matters. The process is almost always transforming for the person writing it, and the result is almost always treasured by those who read or hear it.
“The Memoir Writing Workshop provided me a toolkit of strategies, resources, and structure to take my writing to a new level that is more engaging. As a student, I also gained a new network of friendships that will support and encourage my writing efforts in the future. This was worth every penny and I enjoyed every second.”

Don’t put it off! Sign up for my memoir-writing workshop to get started.
Next workshop begins Jan. 19 and meets every other Thursday through Mar. 2, 5-7pm MST.
In these workshops, expect to meet with a small group of other writers — 6 max. I’ll provide short chunks of teaching on topics such as:
- Getting started
- Getting unstuck
- Telling a story
- Balancing vulnerability and privacy
- Editing for energy and clarity
We’ll do some short impromptu writing exercises, then we’ll open it up for anyone who wants to share their memoir writings and give each other constructive feedback. Each participant will also get one 30-min. individual coaching session with me during the month. I’ll also provide a list of suggested memoirs to read, because you can learn a lot from authors who have told their stories well.
- Bi-weekly Zoom sessions 90 minutes long
- $120 for 4 sessions
